How can I register for IGF 2012?
The registration for IGF 2012 will be in the website of IGF Secretariat: www.intgovforum.org

When can I register for IGF 2012?
The registration will be open in July, 2012

Who can attend this meeting?
IGF 2012 is open for all interested parties, there is no limitation

I want to get information on shipping agency?
Information on shipping agency is available in the “General Information” section of the local website (www.igf2012.az). For further information and questions please contact: ems@igf2012.az

What about visa enquiries?
You may get visa-related information in the “Visa Information” section of the local website (www.igf2012.az). For further information and questions please contact: visainquiries@igf2012.az

What if I want to stay longer?
If you wish to stay longer, that is your decision. However, all extra costs and logistics associated with your extended stay will be at your own responsibility and you have to make sure that the visa duration will permit you to do so

How long will it take participants to get to the hotels from the airport?
The longest one is 44 km, others mainly are 25km

Will there be rooms in the hotels for people with limited capabilities?
Sure, we have taken into account this issue as well

What about the hotel prices?
For getting information on the reduced corporate rates of hotels please contact hotelreservations@igf2012.az

Will there be any scholarship programme?
The issue is still under discussion

Can I pay with Euro or US Dollar in Azerbaijan?
Euro or any foreign currency is not an official in Azerbaijan. You can exchange them into Azerbaijan manat (AZN) and vice-a-versa at every bank, at the airport as well. You may also get Euro or US Dollar from most ATMs

Can I extend my visa?

Is the venue in Baku Expo Exhibition and Convention Center accessible for people with limited capabilities?
Yes. All the public areas at the meeting venue will be accessible to people with limited capabilities. Participants with special needs should notify the secretariat well in advance of the meeting date

Will there be first-aid facilities on the premises of the venue?
Yes, these facilities will be available at the venue

How much do I have to pay to attend the conference?
Conference attendance is free of charge

How can I apply for a visa?
If there is an Azerbaijani embassy in your country, you can receive your visa from the embassy. If there is no Azerbaijani embassy in your country, a note verbal will be provided to the participants that have been approved by contacting the Host Country via their website

Can we take the food into a meeting room?
To prevent damage to the equipment in the meeting rooms, it is strongly recommended not to take beverages and food to the meeting rooms.

Can an organization have several booths?
No

What is the working language of the IGF meetings?
The working language of the IGF meeting is mostly English. Interpretation will be provided in all 6 UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish) for the main sessions

How can remote participants remain up-to-date on forum proceedings?
Both workshops and main sessions will benefit from webcast, in both audio and video formats, and real-time transcription of verbatim written record of the proceedings that will be posted to the IGF website

Will remote participants be able to submit questions and comments during the workshops?
Yes, A public remote chat capability will be provided for all main sessions and workshops

I need special assistance to whom I can contact?
Provision of special assistance to the participants with disabilities In case of special disability assistance is required; the participant is kindly requested to share the detailed request, including the flight itinerary, hotel name and all useful information to: specialassistance@igf2012.az
